LIFE IS A JOURNEY...ENJOY THE RIDE...

When I was younger I wanted to be an air hostess.  I fell in love with the idea of seeing the world after we emigrated from England to South Africa in the early 70's.  I never did that...why you may ask?  Two reasons...The most obvious is that I am too short and the second is my dad wasn't too keen on the idea.  Those were the days that you heeded your parents and did what you were told.

Years later I still have the yearning to travel and  no means to do so.  I read on facebook daily about my friends travels and I wish it were me....I watch Pasella on television and am fascinated by the places to visit in my home country, South Africa.   My dilemma as a traveller is where do I start?  In my own 'back yard' so to say?  Or overseas?

If I decided to travel South Africa first, then would I go from province to province? Or coast to coast?      Or even up or down the coastline and then tackle inland?

If I decided on overseas, would I travel a continent at a time?  Travel then country to country?  East to west?  West to east?
Once I have decided where I am going to travel, how I arrive at my destination will be my next choice...sea, air, train, bus, taxi, car?

So many decisions to make...so much thought to go into the planning of each trip...and all of it being done from my chair!!!!!
